Khosin Ki 6 (China) beat C. E. Malfroy (New Zealand), 6—o, 6—3, 4—6, 6—2. A. C. Stedman (New Zeal'and) beat Chop (China), 6—4, 6—o, 6—2. Malfroy beat Chop, 6—l, 6—3, 6 —l. Khosin Kie beat Stedman, 6—4, 6 4, 6—4, I—6, 6—3. Stedman and Malfroy (New Zealand) beat Khosin Kie /and Tsu Wai Pui (China), 6 —3, fl—B, 6 —3, 6 —2. Khosin Kie was too steady for Stedman, who, in the first set repeatedly double-faulted' and netted. Stedman led 2 —o in the second Let but the Chinese, despite the New Zealander’s strenuous efforts, obtained lam unshakeable lead. Stedman outclassed Khosin J<ie in the third tet with beautiful passing shots, but 'tired in the fourth. Nevertheless he won three games in a row for a 3 —2 lead, after which the Chinese, employing stop volleys, nan out the winner. The deciding match was merely a procession. Choy played valiantly but was completely outclassed by Malfroy.

Timmer was not available for Holland, as he is indisposed. Ireland v. Switzerland. Lyttelton Robert' (Ireland) beat Ellmer (Switzerland), B—6,8 —6, I—6,1 —6, 6—l, 6—3.
