SOLO TO ENGLAND H. W. Broadbent Passes Baghdad Press Association —Copyright. ('Received 10 a.m.) London, May 2. Mr H. W. Broadbent, who if flying .solo to England, passed over Baghc/;:: to-day. Mr Broadbent’s plane, the Windella, is a D.H. 85 Leopard Moth, with Gipsy Major engine.. Its fuel capacity has been increased to 90 gallons, giving it a range of 1600'miles. RUMANIAN PRINCE England-Cape Record Sought Press Association —Conyrlgnt. (Received 10.10 a.m.) London, May 2. Prince Constantine Cuntacuzene, of Rumania, flying a Caudron Renault, with a top speed of 327 miles an hour, and a radius of 3700 miles., left Hatfield to-day in an attempt, on the England- Johannesbuurg and EnglandCape records.
