FIVE-POWER PACT BRITAIN TAKES INITIATIVE Hopes For German Cooperation Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.30 a.m. London, April 30. As an outcome of the meeting between Mr. Anthony, Eden and Dr. Van Zeeland, Belgian Prime Minister, at Brussels, it is understood that Britain is making a new approach toward a five.power West, ern European Security Pact with the hope that Germany may consider co-operation. It is proposed to initiate a system of non-aggression pacts between Britain,, and Belgdum, France and Belgium, and Germany and to which the recent British and French guarantees to Belgium would be supplementary.
