CHURCH PERSECUTED CAMPAIGN RENEWED Concerted Newspaper Attack Press Association —Copyrignt. Received 11.5 a.m.' Berlin, April 29. A concerted Press attack on the Catholic Church is interpreted to mcian the renewal of the campaign against the Church. For example, the Volkischer Beobachter publishes inflammatory heiadlines, such as “Churches and anonasl- - debased to haunts of depravity,” and introduces stories announcing that over 1000 priests or members of Catholic orders are in prison awaiting trial on charges of immorality. Another newspaper states: “It is not a question of individual cases, but the whole system, which is corrupt.”
