SCUTTLED AT SCAPA FLOW

The German battleship Friedrich Der Grosse, of 25,C00 tons, which was scuttled at Scapa Flow in 1919 has been raised from a depth of 23 fathoms by Metal Industries, Limited. The barnacle-covered wreck, which lay on the sea bottom keel uppermost, rose to the surface in thirty seconds, by means of compressed air.
