Thomson, of Hawera, was • presented by Superintend out E, Brocklebank, of Stratford, with a 25 years’ gold medal star at the annual conference of the Taranaki District Fire Brigades’ Association at Hawera on Wednesday night in recognition of service as brigade surgeon. The brigade performed such valuable and efficient work that his part in its > activities was of a rather humble j nature, said Dr Thomson. i j Mr R. H.
