Amalgamation Schemes Bill Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, April 27. Approval of the Local Government Amalgamation Schemes Bill was.' expressed by the council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to-night. The legislative committee of the chamber submitted a recommendation approving the generlal principles of 'th', bill, but recommending an amendment to section 11 to provide for reference to a commission where an agreement is not reached in reasonable time to be specified. This was adopted.
