SOLE BROS’ CIRCUS.
There is something about a circus that appeals to all, and Sole Bros., who will visit Stratford on Wednesday April 28, for one night only, have 30 international, stars touring New Zealand. Some of the headliners are Captain Andrews and his trained lions and tigers, which perform together in a huge steel arena. The swinging, balancing. ' trapeze artist, La Belle Maria, features in a unique act. Other performers are the seven FranChettis, in beautiful posing on unsupported ladders; the Renters Sisters, flying trapeze artists, who perform extraordinary feats of head-to-head balancing and upside down equilibrium, are also headliners. Th? Silvester Sisters, double wire walkers; Goce and Chico, comedy acrobats'on the rickety ladders; the five marvellous Ridgeways, the acrobats supreme; Babbett, wonder contortioniste. and her trained Pom. are further attractions. George Loudon presents a troupe of performing elephants, and there are also riders, tumblers, acrobats, trained nonies. clowns and dogs. The circus comes by special train.
