Queen Mary’s Gift.

Mrs Commissioner Lamb, wife of Commissioner David C Lamb, of the Salvation Army, proudly bore a sheaf of daffodils from Marlborough House after she had b_en received by Queen Mary recently. The flowers, taken, by Queen Mary from a bowl in her drawing-room, were a spontaneous gift to Mrs Lamb, who hag completed 55 years as an officer of the army. Queen Mary chatted with her on the social work of the "army,” listened with interest to her account of activities' among the poor in the East End. and laughed over her stories of humorous experiences.
