Paralysis in Taranaki Province. In. reply to an inquiry made by the “Central Press” this afternoon, Dr« F. W. W. Dawson, Medical Oflicei of Health, stated that there were no further cases of infantile paralysis reported in the province to-day. Two girls suffering from infantile paralysis are patients at the Auckland Hospital. One was admitted from Mount Albert, and the other, a resident of Green Lane, has been in hospital since the beginning of the wek and was diagnosed yesterday as a positive case. In addition two patients suspected of having infantile paralysis were admitted for observation. One is a boy of five years froni Devonport and the other a boy of 15 months from Western Springs. As a precaution against paralysis the Health Department has ordered the immediate closing of 101 schools in the Waikato district.
