In connection with the celebration of his 48th birthday to-day, Herr Hitler presented 90 flags to army, navy and air force uni s, .after which he watched a march past. Shotring a greatly improved stand ard of equipment, 14.550 officers and mtn, 1500 horses and 950 machine paraded past the Fuhrer, who took the salute from a stand in the ffergarten. The cheers of the crowds, the tramp of boots, the clatter of hooves and the rumble of gun wheels were maintained for two hours.
Every German town held similar smaller parad e-. Austrian Nazis demonstrated at Vienna and in the provinces and painted .Swastikas on houses occupied by Jews, Forty arrests were made.
