CORONATION FLOWERS Window Boxes Popular. The flower decorations of London In ctlebrwtion of the Coronation will be on a scale of magnificence that has never been equalled, sta'-es the London Daily Tel graph. Orders worth many thousands of pounds have been placed for windowboxes and other floral decoratioits on buildings in the West End. Plants and flowering shrubs are now r ing specially grown in immense numbers. So great are the demands that florktg are finding difficulty in fulfilling orders. The flowers chiefly to be used are rhododendron, azalea, pink, vliite, and blue hydrangeas, white mar. guerite, red and blue cinerarias, scarlet g ranium, yellow geni i a apd acacia, and thousands of the asparagus "fern." Window boxes will be made chiefly of wood painted in different colours to suit the scheme of d coratjan. Mr A F. Champion, dire,ctof of Robert Green, Dtdt, the West End florists who specialise in window-box displays, states that the pr sent demand far exceeds those of the Silver Jubilee and the last two Coronations. The chief difficulty is to find enough skilled workers. At Admiralty Arch. One of the most spectacular decoralions will be seen at the Admiralty Arch. Along the top will be window boxes filled with yellow azaleas and olue hydrangeas. On each side of the central arch a crown of flowers and leaves, measuring 10 feet by 10 feet, will be placed. The leav s are to be sprayed in silver and gold. Hanging baskets filled with flowers will decora'e each of the six arch s. Cinerarias in two shades of blue have been chosen for the window boxes at Gwydyr House, th Air Force building. The colour scheme on the residence of the First Lord of the Admiralty will be r d, white, and blue, provided by azalea, rhododeniron, and cineraria. Scarlet and blue flowers have been

jhosen for tha Treasury and scarlet jnd white for the Ministry of Labour The window‘-boxes at -the Ministry of Hee Eh will be filled with pink rhododendrons. The city’s colours, scarlet and white, ar to be used in the flower decorations at the Mansion House. Tlie gateway at Hyde Park Corner through which the Coronation procession will pass will be a fascinating floral scene; th? upper part, for a length of 600 feet, is to be filled with pink rhododendrons.
