Mrs W. J. Hall, Swansea Road, left on Monday morning for Wanganui, on her way to the South Island. * ■* * Mrs. D. J. Malone entertained members of the Portland Bridge Club on Monday afternoon at her residence in Miranda Street. She was wearing a very becoming Paris lace frock over silk, and the drawing-room was decorated with chrysanthemums and sweet peas. Those present were: Mesdames L. Jardine, S. Pitt, P. D. Jefferies, A. Coleman, L. Furrie, Heslopp, and Hugo.
