DOMAINS CONTROL.
Board Meeting Business. The Stratford Domain Board mat last night, the Mayor, Mr J. W. McMillan, presiding. The use of the football grounds on Victoria Park war granted to the Stratford primary school, application being made by the headmaster, Mr U J. Furrie, for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and occasionally Friday afternoons.
The Stratford Old Girls' Hockey Club granted the use ot the Victoria Park hockey grounds for the 1937 reason.
The caretaker. Mr E. P. Blanchard, reported that the cattle grazing on the soccer grounds at King Edward Park had been breaking into the park owing, he thought, to the shortage ot grass.
The Victoria Park football field had received considerable attention for ihe coming season. All holes made during the cricket seaton had been turfid in, and the ground had received a top-dressing of 2j tons of lime. The ground had been rolled and the goal posts painted and erected. It was resolved to request the caretaker to bring down a report in connection with staffing and with the number of trees required to plant the western area ot King Edward Park wh re pine trees had been removed.
