CHILD HURT.

BENEATH LORRY Escape from Serious Injury. The five-year-old son of M.r. F. Dodd, Juliet Street, had a fortunate escape from fatal injuries yesterday afternoon, when he fell beneath the wheels of a moitor lorry driven by Mr. L. B. Davis, of Stratford. The boy -wa; playing with his sister outside his home, and «fteir Mr. Davis had unloaded some furniture they stood on the step of the lorry asking for a ride. The driver told them to get off and saw them move to the footpath, the girl holding back the boy, who was apparently trying to reach the lorry. The driver s*arb ed the lorry, and had travelled about 12 feet, when he felt a slight bump He stopped the lorry and saw the boy lying on the side of the road. The rear left hand wheel had apparently gone over part of his lag and thigh, or bad jammed the boy between the watertable and the wheel of the lorry. Mr. Davis took the boy to his home, Where he was examined by Dr. GorDon. An x-ray examination at the Strat. ford- Hospital to-day showed that 110 bones had been broken, the- injuries consisting of severe bruising.
