EMPIRE PRODUCERS
MARKET IN BRITAIN UNIFORMITY & QUALITY. Lord Bledisloe’s Advice. Press Association —Copyrights (Received 11.5 a.m.) London, April 15. Mrs,. W. Jordan, the wife of the New' Zealand High Commissioner, in the presence of a representative gathering at New Zealand House to-day, officially opened the apple season for 1937. Lord Bledisloe, looking at the crowd crammed in the foyer, expressed the opinion that the Government might consider acquiring a larger building, since it was obvious the present one in. the Strand was too small for the growing importance of New Zealand. Lord Bledisloe warned Empire producers.' that if they ’v<'anted to capture- the United Kingdom marked they must concentrate on uniformity, in addition to the quality. He instanced the New Zealand baconers at Smithfield Market on April 13, which, experts were of the opinion, had not been properly fed, and were undersized.
