Mr. Whiting congratulated the New Plymouth club on the manner in which it conducted the meeting, and the sub-centre placed on record its appreciation. Criticism of the manager of the West Coast (North Island) Amateur Athletic Centre’s Dominion champion i team, Mr George Benson, of Wanganui, for replacing Miss D. Hodgson, of New Plymouth, by Miss P. C. Cantwill, an ex-Victorian athlete, in the women’s relay team, was made by Mr. M. Comber. As Miss Cantwill was not a member of the team, it was decided to ask the West Coast centre for an explanation of the manager’s action. Mr. Comber was elected chairman of the harrier sub-committee. Congratulations on the success achieved at the Dominion championships were extended to Messrs. S. A. ; Lay and A. J. Mahar. I Those present were: Messrs. A. G. ' Whiting (chairman), L. J.
