POWER POLE SHATTERED
Blenheim in Darkness. Press Association —Copyright. Blenheim, April 12. Blenheim was in darkness tor 20 minutes after a motor car bad collided with a power pble in the sub urb of Springlands. The impact, which was heard In the town 'two mile! distant, shattered a 35 ft reinforced concrete pole in three places, moving the base five feet. The high-ter sion 'Wires were short-circuited.. George Donald Dobson, la 24 year old miner at Hahakipawa, sustained bead injuries, on» eye being severely affected. John Langdon, also of Aniseed camp, suffered minor injuries. Both were admitted to hospital, Langdon being discharged (this morning. The car belonged to Mr Edgar Rowe, of Ainsred camp, and was missed from outside a cinema.
