BAND CONCERT.

Recital By Wanganui Garrison Players. “I think I am expressing the opinions of this audience in stating that it. is a considerable time since we have had a visit from a band of this calibre,” said Mr A. E. Pollock, chairman of the Styatford Citizens’ Band Committee, at the Town Hall last night, on the occasion of the recital given by the Wanganui Garrison Band. An audience of over 300 greatly enjoyed. the splendid programme presented by the band, and the concert items given by local and visiting artists. Items were given by Misses B. and B. Elliot (vocal duets), and Messrs. Alan Pike, Wanganui (baritone solo). P Coe (bass solos), and Stewart Gordon (novelty items). Miss E. Moon was accompanist. Before the concert began, the Stratford Band played a selection outside the hall.
