Motorists at Races. Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, April 11. The Minister of Transport, Hon. R. Semple, while expressing his appreciation of the co-operation he had received from the vast majority of motorists, made special mention of a particular class, the racing public. "I have been informed by officers of my department that until December last most race meetings were marred, by accidents, ’’ said the Minluter. “Since I appealed to the public for a greater measure of cooperation I have been pleased 'to receive a further report to the effect that the conduct of motorists driving to and from race meetings has been all that can be desired. “It ie the practice of traffic officers to arrange for a short statement to be broadcast at the more important meetings, and I wish to express my deep appreciation of ithe co operation which the racing public has shown during the past four months.”
