Crashing into the sea about 200 yards from the shore near ithe Greymouth aerodrome at 2 o'clock this afternoon, the; West Coast Aero Club's D.H. Moth aeroplane ZK—ADZ Was extensively, damaged, but the pilot, Mr Ivan Quinney, agted 30. af Greymouth, who was the sole occupant, had a remarkable escape. He suffered no worse injury than a cut on the forehead, and was' rescued by Mr Ernest Price, a member of >tlie Surf Club, with a lifeline. The 'plane was washed ashore by the breakers and was conveyed by lorry to the aerodrome.
