EASTER RAIL TRAVEL.
| “Easter travel by rail this year has p.hown a great uu.n.n emsnt upon the figures for Easjter last year in both numbers and revenue.” state the Minister of Railways, Hon D. G. Sullivan, at Wanganui yesterday. “In 1936 there were 340,000 passengers carried all Easter time; this year number ajnounted to 395,000, an increase of 51,000, or 11 P' r cent. Easer traffic revenue increased by £12,000, an improvni nt of 18 per cent, upon the Easter revenue for 1936.
