Indecent Assault Charge. Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, April 9. Aubrey Maddocks, former Road Transport Commissioner for New South Wales, iwas today sen fenced to 18 months’ imprisonment for indecent assault on a male. In a dramatic statement . from the dock Maddocks said that some time ago his official .duties became so wearying that he had felt he was bordering on a complete breakdown. He. tried drinking heavily, but without reief. A youth whom he had been trying to help had quietly planned his destruction. Maddjocks (denied anp association between the youth and himself. The youth in evidence admitted haying been deported from New Zealand.
