“CHAMPAGNE CHARLIE."
The candid drama of a strange romance Shat the whole world wondered abcut if revealed in the new Fox picture, "Champagne Charlie,” which wi.l show 1 at the King’s Thealtre to-night. With debonair Paul Cavanagh and lovely Hel< n Wood heading the stellar cast, “Champagne Charlie” is the story of a front-page play boy and a deadline heiress—two people who gambled with life, flirted with love aud lost when they thought they had won. The greater part of the elt-ory is devoted to the whirlwind love story of the gambler stranded at Monlte Carlo and the lovely dollar princess. Following the fantastic course of the luxurious courtship, the tale takes them to New York, where a strange turn of events brings Cavanagh, face to face With facts he had never suspected. In the dramatic climax and denouement, “Champagne aiiarlije” shows' how the wastrel faces -death to save the happiness of the' girl he learned to love more than life itself. George O’Brien in “Whispering Smith Speiaks,” will be shown on the same programme.
