It is extremely difficult to estimate the tatal amount of money spent in these various camps during this holiday season, but one hotel manager who has had wide experience of tourists and public amus.ement.o han con-jectured—-vith statistics to help him —that a minimum guess for the total public expendluro during Easter would be £1,000,000. A very considerable proportion of chit huge sum is represented directly and indirectly by the Royal Show. "Greatest Show on Earth.” It must be remembered that Sydney’s Royal Show is literally "the greatest show on earth.” In no other country and no other centre of population i there anything comparable to it, in size and comprehensiveness. The catth shows held annually at Buer.os A? res and the British Cattle Show may Lhro- that particular, department ot our R.A.S. into the shade, and the Toronto Exhibition ot Industrial products is larger than the secondary imiustrieis section ot the Sydney Show.
