Vaughan Williams’ Composition at Queen’s Hall. Press Association —Copyright. Received 10.15 a.m. London, April 2. The Duke and Duchess of Kent were among the audience at Queen’s Hall who heard the first of the Coronation music— “ Flourish for a Coronation,” by Vaughan Williams. Sir Thomas Beecham conducted. The composition celebrates the crowning with fanfares of trumpets, the beating of drums, and the pealing of bells.
