Support for the League of Nations and emphasis on 'the principle of collective security were the main points of a resolution on war and peace adopted unanimously at the annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party to day. The text of the resolution was: “That this conference, being deeply impressed with the gravity of the international situation and realising that another world war would probably mean the end of civilisation, air' that the race for armaments cannot bring peace and security , to the peoples.' of the world, hereby declares its wholehearted support of the New Zealand Labour Government's recommendations for the reform and strengthening of the League of Na tions and its support of the principle of security.”
