Winner of Auckland Championship. Press Association —Copyright. Auckland, March 30. The Auckland provincial golf championship was decided to-day, when H. D. Brinj-den, the title-holder, was defeated by R. E. Bell, 3 and 2. Bell Is the youngest player to ever win the title, having yet to attain the age of 17. His performance was unique, as it was the first time’ that he has partici pated in an open tournament of any kind apart from the schoolboys.’ championship, which he has won for the last two years. The semi-finals resulted: Brinsden beat R. M. George 2 and 1; Bell beat A. E. Browne 3 and 2.
