SEQUEL TO MASSACRE
EXPULSION OF ITALIANS. DENIAL GIVEN STORY Campaign of Lies. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 10.5 a.m.) Rome, March 30. The story that 200 Italian soldiers were expelled from Abyssinia by Marshal Grazlaiii, the Viceroy, is officially denied in a communique, Which specifically refers tc the London Times as publishing the story. The communique states: “The story is all false, and was fabricated at Jibouti or London, constituting another element in he campaign of lies apainst Italy. Marshal Graziani is not ill. He recovered from his wounds and returned to the Residential Palace long ago/' A London cable message published yesterday stated: The Timet says that owing to their participation in the massacre at Addis Ababa last month, the Viceroy, Marshal Graziani, has expelled from Abyssinia, over ?00 Italians of various ranks in the army and the labour corps. It was not until 48 hours after the reprisals that Marshal Graziani heard of them, as he had been in the hands of doctors. He is still In hospital, having received a severed artery behind the knee during the bomb-throwing incident.
