INCREASED REVENUE.

A further substantial increase in Post Office revenue over the amount earned for the same period last year is shown in the figures for the eleven monillis ended Februiary last. The Postmaster-General, Hen. F. Jones., said tonight that there had been an j all round increase in the department’s services and ti e aggregate gain v'as £298,019. Comparative figures for. the eleven months of 1936 37 and 1931-36 respectively were: Pqstiag>?s, ' £1,241, 314 (£1,129,578); telegraphs, £1291,210 (£269,617); tolls, £508,637 (£454,034); » telephones, £1,220,324 (£1,138,589). The increase in each of j the four main classes was; Postages, j £111,936; telegraph!’?, £21,593; tolls, £54,603; telephones, £81,735. The I total revenue from all classes was £3,500,287, as compared with £3, 202,268 for ths previous eleven months.
