LAND TAX
Furnishing a return of land is an annual duly Imposed by law upon all landowners who at noon on March 31 hold land of an unimproved value according -to the Government valua-. tion in excess of £5OO. The unimproved value is the value of the land exclusive of building®, fencing, and other improvements. Th form of return has been -.s simple as it is possible to make it. Forms are obtainable at all post offices. Any per eon neglecting to furnish e return is liable to a penalty not exceeding £lOO. An advertisement to ’bis effect appears in to-day’s issue.
