I The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal I Stratforb Lodge, Manchester Unity ; Independent Order of Oddellows, was i held in the Lodge room, Broadway I South, last night, I.P'.N.G. Bro. A. G. I Beal presiding

Bro. Be’al reported to the Lodge on the business transacted at the annual district conference held at Waitara. Bro. H. Summerfield was. congratulated by P.D.G.M. Bro. E. Woodley, Eltham, and D.P.G.M. Bro. D. G. Sherson on his appointment as Deputy District Grand Master of the Order, the speakers paying tribute to ris unceasing labours on behalf of the Lodge over a period of years Replying, Bro. Summerfield thanked members, for their support and I good wishes, particularly mentioning I P.’ O. J. Pearce, who Was responsible

I 1 tor his nomination. Bro. E. Ireland was congratulated by Bro. Beal on completing 34 years as a member of Loyal Stratford Lodge, during which time he has been a constant attender and willing worker for the betterment of the Friendly Society movement. The honours of ; the lodge were extended to Bro. Ireland, and the hope expr; ssed that he would, be spar...l tor many' years t.o carry on the good work. Arrangements were made by the social commutej to held a function in a month’s time. Four new candidates were proposed fur initiation. | On the completion of lodge busii nesi, supper was provided by Bro. ' Summerfi: Id, after which there was I dancing to music supplied by Sisters j Benni r and Ireland.
