Letters Patent creating a Dukedom of Windsor have now passed under tihe Great Seal. It differs from the accepted practice as regards Royal Dukedoms in not conferring any minor title,*. Thus, there will be no minor peerage available as a courtesy title for a possible heir, but under King George the Fifth’s proclamation on July 17, 1917, adopting the family namle of Windsor, if the DUke of Windsor has a son ’he will be known as His Royal Highness Prince (Christian name) of Windsor 1 .
