BRITAIN’S COINAGE. NEW TYPE OF SHILLING Compliment to Queen Elizabeth.

Press Association—Copyright. (Received 9.55 a.m ) London, March 211 The most sweeping changes in Britain’s coinage history are announced by Royal Proclamation in a London Gazette. There are to be new designs for all coins, also two distinct typ’s of shillings. One will bear the Royal Crest of Scotland, as a compliment to Queen Elizabeth. There will be a mixed' metal threepenny piece. They are the first additions to the coinage since 1887. The new currency is being minted immediately after Easter, in time for the Coronation.
