The story concerns one Chivo, who is singer and general haudymaii at a dingy little movie house. below the Rio Grande. When Braganza, Mexico's most notorious bandit chieftain, tees sin American gangster film there and is inspired to adopt the gangsters tactics, Chivo puts down tlie ensuing riot with tong.
His golden voice so thrills the music-loving Braganza that he has him kidnapped and brought bo his ■headquarters. Chivo tells Braganza of his ambition to become a radio star. Braganza at once takes him to a border tov.'n, seizes a broadcasting statf.on and pushes him in front of the microphone. On the way back, Braganza kidiwips Bill Shay, weakling son of a politically powerful American multi-million-aire, and hit' sweetheart Jane. Chivo helps Bill tsca.pe. Later he and Jane, who have fallen in love, also manage to escape and pick up Bill on the road.
Chivo manages to reach the theatre where he once worked, but his boss, believing him to be a bandit, has him arrested. To prove his innocence he offers to help an American detective vlho is working on the kidnapping case. Chivo is .released and Braganza tells him that Jane is waiting for him. King’s Theatre. “The Border Patrolman.” With a blazing six-gun in his hand and a b autiful girl in his arms, George O'Brien rides through a fast and exciting series of adventures in “The Border Patrolman,” which will be shown at the King's Theatre, tonight. Fighting and loving more recklessly than ever, O’Brien this 1 lime meets his match in the girl and before the film reaches its whirlwind climax, Polly Ann Young teaches O'Brien things he never guessed about the West. Mi-.s Young gets O’Brien into trouble in the early moments of the film when in a forest she defies his warning about forest fir; s. Angered by her evident headstrong nature, O'Brien picks her up and carts her off bodily to patrol headquarters. When his captain reprimands hi mfor his action, O'Brien resigns and gets a job from Miss Young’s grandfather taming the heiress. Polly Ann is more than attracted by the rashing O’Brien, but when she fids out that he is attempting to play guardian to her, she elopes with the head of a gang of jewel smugglers. The picture it' thrilling throughout.
