Tfae Plan-American survey clipper will begin its flight to New Zealand to-morrow in preparation for tile regular passenger service. The weather forecaster has announced that the storm over the Pacific is? clearing rapidly, but planes might encounter northerly cross-wjnds.
Pari-American announced to-day that the Hawaii clipper, which was delayed for several days, will also start, which will mean that three planet? will be crossing the Pacific, as Mrs Amelia Earhart Putnam Will also commence her worl dflight. Airways offidials said this would tax communicatfon 'but tb/)v fi'Meved that an acceptable schedule couTil be arranged because of the varying cruising speeds of the planes. The New Zealand clipper’s speed is 155 miles an hour, the Hawaii 140 mi’Os an hour, and Mrs Putnam’s plane ISO to 190 miles an hour. The three plarret l will follow’ the same route to Honollu.
