FLOATING AERODROME

Christened Friesenland by the Post-master-General Herr Ohnrsorge. the floating aerodrome constructed by the Lufthansa Company for the Faya I base of the &ir mail service to America was launched at Kiel to-uay. The base is of 6500 tons, with a speed of 16 knots and can catapult a 16-ton mail-carrying aeroplane. The other floating ■aerodrome, the Schwabenland, will be stationed 1485 miles off New York. The service iu expected to begin in June.
