FLOCK HOUSE.
Statement of Government Policy. Wellington, March 16. A statement of the Government’s policy concerning the future operations of Flock House was made today by the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. W. Lee Martin. "Training at Flock House is free to all New Zealanders between the ages of 141 and 16 years and 'Within the limits of the accommodation available at the station,” said the Minister. “Boysi accepted for the Flock House course must have the intention of engaging permanently in agricultural pursuits. They must be of good character and before entry must submit a satisfactory medical certificate of fitness. Parente or guardians of trainees are required to provide the boys
with the necessary outfit. "Tile course at Flock House embraces 12 months of practical training in ail branches of farming. This is followed by apprenticeship with farmers approved by the Department of Agriculture for a period of three years or until the boys reach the age of 20 years, whichever is sooner."
