Savage as he made his appearance at a social evening Accorded him to-night. Mr Savage declared that he had never before witnessed such an enthusiastic gathering. At Geneva Mr ’ Jordan ha-1 placed NewZealand on the map, and before the Imperial Conference was over the country would again be in the public eye.

“Our minds have been moulded in the struggle for life, and if anything on our part can make a repetition of the world war tragedy impossible ft is going to be done," Mr Savage declared. He added thilt in Imperial matters New Zealand’s voice must always be heard.
