HAWERA MATCH Bowling of Power Board was Too Good. The most thorough batting collapse ot the season in the southern division senior competition was experienced by Strattord against the bowling ot B. Hughes (Power Board). The team was dismissed for 31 in 16 overt, Hughes taking eight wickets for 16 runa/Whlcb included one six. W. J. Hall and G. Richardson opened for Stratford and scored two runs in two oven.’ before Hall was given out leg before wicket to Hfugljss. Beere blocked the next ball, scored two end six and was caught out. Th' rest of the innings was a procession, Hughes claiming four ot his eight victims leg before wicket. In his last five overs he took six wickets for five runs. Betts failed to strike a 1-ngth and Landrum took the other two wickets for one run in three overt. Adlam secured Betts’ wickit at no cost fn the fl "St ov r and Power Board had four wickets down before reaching Stratford’s total. B. Hughes •and SargesOn and' then Sargeson and D. Hughos made stands, however, and the scoring rate increased. 6nly three runs v.<ere scored in the first six overs but the next 18 overs yielded lOS runs.
