Collision Results in Labourer’s Death

Press Association—Copyright. Dunedin, March 14. A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a car -on the Main South Road two miles north of Milton last night, resulted in the death of William George McLean, aged about 34, a labourer, employed by the Public Works Department. Mr McLean was riding a cycle, which is said to have been unlighted, towards Milton shortly before 9 o’clock when he collided with a car driven by Mr Ernest John Velvin, a university student. The cycle struck the right-hand mudguard of the car and was l smashed to pieces. Mr McLean suffered terrible head injuries and death was instantaneous. He vas a married man, and is believed to have belonged to the Kurow district.
