Trans-Tasman Project.

The trans-Tasman project is a matter of’ negotation between the British, Australian and New Zealand Governments, says the Sydney Sun. Aviation circles in Australia are urging the Governments concerned to expedite their decision on the methods of terms of operation in order that this service might start from the Australian end this year. A new operating company, it was learned to-day, will probably be formed by Australian affiliations of Imperial Airways of New Zealand’ to co operate a trans-Tasman service.

Pan-Ameriacn Airways to-day announced that it would make the first survey flight within a week from Honolulu tjo Auckland vit Kingman Reef and Pago Pago with a clipper ship with. a. crew of six, taking Tour days, states a San Francisco message.

The company believes a service can be inaugurated on a commercial basis six months later. The ship North Wiind has been ordered to proceed from Honolulu to Kingman Reef to facilitate the flight.
