AUTUMN SHOW OPENED TO-DAY
o SUCCESSFUL VENTURE OF A. & P. ASSOCIATION JUDGING HIGH-QUALITY EXHIBITS. The faces of the off|;ials of the Stratford A. & P. Association to-day were as bright as the weather, for the blue skies this morning augured well for the success of their courageous venture of an Autumn Show. Entries in all classes were good, exhibits were of a high standard, and even when proceedings opened this morning there was a good attendance of the public. As the day wore on, the attendance increased, sideshows did a roaring business, and a true carnival spirit pervaded the Show Grounds. Judging commenced at 9 a.m., and for the most part will be concluded to-day. For People’s day to-morrow an excellent programme of ring entertainment has been arranged and an additional attraction this year will be the two chopping events scheduled for 11.30 a.m. onwards, with the final of the big event at 3 p.m. Results are:—
