SCHOOL QUESTIONNAIRE,

Furrie, showed that ‘out of approximately 512 chilr ' dren, 49.5 per cent. Want ecl i milk and 50.5 did not. Th replies of the infants, too, were somev 'hat surprising. Out of 164 infants, 52 did not want milk.' A decision to take advantage of the Go ‘rnmena s scheme of free -rn jk supply was made at a special uneeting of the School Committee this week. Approximatly 16 gallons will be required daily for about 200 days during the school year, and tenders are being called for the supply. It is stipulated that the milk is to 'be delivered in half-pint bottles, supplied by the committee, and preference will be given tenderers having a tuberculin-tested he rd. How the pasteurising and fterilisr ing is to be carried out is a question that will have to be decided by 'the supplier.
