Eight Rinks Played On Local

Greens.

A party of Auckland bowlers who are touring Taranaki, visited Stratford yesterday, playing four rinks, on the Stratford Club’s green and four at Avon. They were welcomed at the Stratford green by the president, Mr 11. Summerfield, and at Avon by the club’s president, Mr W. Mclnnes. The visitors AVere entertained at Stratford lant night. A feature of the Stratford-Auck-land match was the play between an 85 year old Auckland and an 87 year old Stratford bowler. Both these veterans were playing particularly good bowls, retails are:
