The golfing corneepondent of the Daily Mail says that a census Is being taken of the. number of cHlibs in the bags of club members with a view to presentation to the Royal and Ancient cluib in connection v»jth the propoced limitation of clubs to 14. It is believed that the results show an overwhelming majority in favour of 15 or more cluib®, which preference the rules of golf committee cannot flout to the extent of roßtrictSng the clubsv excerpt in champlonsETp#. The rules of golf committee wfl! recommend to the Royal and Ancient meriting next May that the number of clubs which rm ay be used to play a game be limited to 14.
