AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS BIG SUM FOR GAS MASKS. Increase in Education Grant. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 12.55 a.m.) London, March 10. The Home Office Estimates total £23,940,000., an increase of £4,690,000. They include £6,144,000 for air raid precautions, of which half is baing spent in gas masks. The Education Estimates total £62,801,000, an increase of £1,312,000. Grants to universities and postgraduates have decreased by £200,000. The Broaidcasting CorpoTatfioh’s grant totals £2,8701,000 —a decrease of £70,000.
