SURPRISE PARTY
Farewell To Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Priest. At a surprise party last night Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Priest were farewelled at their residence, Opunake Road, by members of the Stratford Men’s and Women’s Hockey Club. Mrs Priest received a chiming clock and a writing set was handed to Mr. ; Priest. ‘ Mr. Rex Watson, in making the presentations. referred to the loss sustained by local hockey circles through the departure of Mr .and Mrs Priest, and conveyed the good wishes of members for their future happiness in their respective positions of manager and matron of the Hawera Old People’s Home. In their replies Mr. and Mrs. Priest thanked the members for their gifts and voiced their regrets at having to sever their long and happy associations with the game in Stratford.
