Taxi and Town Carrying Business. Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, To-day. The report of the committee which recently investigated the tari and town carrying business is being considered by the Minister of Transport, Hon. R. Semple. The committee consisted ot Messrs P. M. Butler (chairman), .1. Walker, and H. B. Smith. "The report,” said Mr Semple on Saturday, “is a very comprehensive one, and contains some far-reaching recommendations aimed a f improving the general efficiency ot these two important classes of transport and the working conditions of the persons engaged in them. Some of the recommendations will require legislation to give effect to them. 1 am arranging to have the report printed for the information of the public. I shall make an announcement regarding the action that Will be taken a.s soon as the report has been considered by Cabinet.”
