CABINET MEETING. POLICY CHANGES. Stabilisation Of Franc To Be Attempted. Press Association—Copyright. Paris, March 5. M. Blum has unexceptedly summoned a Cabinet meeting for 10 ajm. to-day. It it persistently reported that the meeting will take far-reach-ing decisions to relieve the financial situation, says the Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. The decisions., are expected to include stabilisation of the franc at 112 to the pound, concessions to secure the return of hoarded gold and capital from abroad, and changes of financial policy. Anticipation of this action caused Government bonds and other securities to appreciate lyThe Paris correspondent of The Times does not believe that stabilisation and devaluation will occur, but expects the Government’s measures to be limited to policy and the with drawal of taxes on transactions in gold and foreign currencies, with a view to reassuring capitalists.
